i'm studying computer science at uc san diego. right now i work on inference at together ai, mostly kv-cache-aware routing: the part of serving that decides which machine already knows something.

before that i interned at stripepayments infrastructure and apis, awsdynamodb fleet services, and goldman sachstax engineering. i grew up in the bay area and have watched the warriors since before there was a reason to.

i'm drawn to laws that describe systems better than they have any right to: goodhart's, braess's paradox, moore's, the pareto principle. i think most things are over-optimized now, and that the correct way to do something is usually the least interesting one. i spend all day making systems choose the known-good option, so i try to spend less of my own time that way.

otherwise: fantasy football, poker, and lime scooter rides at night.
